Wendy Frazier, MD, joined Gateway Medical Group in 2019 from Scott Air Force Base. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and went on to do a joint residency at Scott Air Force Base and Saint Louis University.
When asked why she became a family practice provider, Dr. Frazier said, “Family medicine is the only specialty where you can provide care for someone from birth to death and there are actually still family medicine physicians that care for pregnant mothers and deliver babies. I found that idea fascinating, and I love interacting with toddlers, adolescents and geriatrics.”
Dr. Frazier loves spending time getting to know her patients, watching them grow up, graduate high school and start college. Her family is important and your family is important. Dr. Frazier said, “I’m always grateful to be a part of the accomplishment and joys of my patients and their families. Or to be able to help them work through their grief.”
Medicine is constantly evolving. Dr. Frazier has a passion for learning and she loves being able to research the latest treatments and cures for illnesses as they are discovered. It’s then when she’s able to discuss these options with her patients and possibly turn them into treatment plans.
It is always Dr. Frazier’s top priority to provider quality medical care that is both compassionate and evidence based.
